Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 2 c flour
- 2 c sugar
- 1 stick margarine
- 5 T. cocoa
- 1/2 c shortening
- 1 c water
- 2 whole eggs
- 1/2 c buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 stick margarine

- 1/3 cup milk
- 4 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 c pecans (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour and sugar in bowl. In saucepan mix and bring to a boil margarine,coca, shortening and water. Pour liquid over dry ingredients and mix well. Add eggs and vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk. Add it to the mixture. Mix well and pour into a greased 11x16x 1 1/2 inch pan (large cookie sheet with edges. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes.
Begin fosting when the cake has been baking 5 minutes. Using same pan, mix 1 stick margarine, coca, and milk. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and and sugar. Mix well and add pecans and vanilla. Pour over cake after removing from the oven.
