Ingredients
- RIBS:
- 3 About 3 slabs cut in half
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 peeled cloves of garlic
- 12 peppercorns
- 1/2 tsp salt
- SAUCE:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2/3 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 tblsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsps onion powder
- 2 tsps mustard powder
- 2 tsps liquid smoke
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper

Step 1
RIBS:
In a large pot place the ribs, onion, garlic, peppercorns, and salt. Add enough water to generously cover. Bring to boil. reduce to a simmer and cook 45 minutes, occasionally skimming foam off the top. Drain; reserving only the ribs.
SAUCE:
Meanwhile in a saucepan, combine all the sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
Heat grill and coat one side of ribs with sauce. Grill sauce side down 5 minutes. Coat top side with sauce, turn ribs over and grill 5 more minutes. You can do the same thing under a broiler.
