Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tblsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1lb can of diced tomatoes
  • 12 oz can tomato paste
  • 10 oz no boil lasagna noodles
  • 3 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan
  • 2 tblsp parsley flakes
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 lb sliced mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat; spoon of excess fat. Add next 5 ingredients and simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Combine remaining ingredients, except mozzarella cheese and noodles. Place half the noodles in 13x9 pan; spread with half the ricotta cheese mixture;add half the mozzarella and half the meat sauce. Repeat layers. Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. If assembled earlier and refrigerated, allow an extra 15 minutes baking time.
