Note: The vanilla quantity here seems incorrect. The quantity for 3 dozen cookies is 2 teaspoons, whereas the quantity requested for 12 dozen cookies (this recipe) says 2 1/2 teaspoons. I personally would add more vanilla to this larger recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (4 cups) butter or margarine
  • 1 pound (3 cups) packed brown sugar
  • 15 ounces (2 cups) granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 7 ounces (4 eggs)
  • 2 lbs 11 oz (9 cups) unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 pounds (8 cups) Ambrosia All-Natural Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 F. In a small mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg. Beat well. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add Ambrosia Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. Mix well. Roll a heaping tablespoon of dough into a ball. Place each ball 2" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and place cookies on a cooling rack.
