  • 1 (5-ounce) jar processed cheese spread
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 3 tablespoons jalapeño pepper jelly

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degree. In medium-sized bowl, combine cheese spread, butter, flour, and water; mix well.

Roll dough between 2 sheets waxed paper to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with 2-inch biscuit cutter and place 1/2 teaspoon pepper jelly in the center of each dough circle.

Fold dough over to form half circles and pinch to seal edges. Place on large baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden.

Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Place in airtight container until ready to serve.

Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.

Notes

If the dough becomes too soft to work with, freeze it for a few minutes till it firms up again.
