Ingredients

  • 2 C. flour
  • 2 C. quick oats
  • 1 1/2 1 ½ C. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 C. butter, melted
  • 1 C. semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 C. chopped pecans (opt)
  • caramel topping-most of a 16 oz. bottle (or 50 caramels + ½ C. evaporated milk)

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, soda, and butter. Press ½ of crumbs into bottom of greased 9x13. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Cover with caramel sauce, sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
Bake 15-20 minutes or until brown.

Chill 1-2 hours Cut into bars. Let warm up on counter a few minutes.
