Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 1 14 1/2 ounce can salsa style or seasoned, diced tomatoes
- 1 10-ounce can red enchilada sauce
- 1 16-ounce can chili beans in spicy sauce
- 1/4 cup coarsely crushed tortilla chips
- Shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro, green onions or red finger peppers, optional

Preparation
Step 1
Cook meat in a large saucepan over medium heat until no longer pink, breaking into pieces with a wooden spoon. Pour off drippings.
Add chili powder and salt; cook 1 minute. Add onion and garlic; cook 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes and enchilada sauce; bring to a simmer. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
Stir in beans; return to a simmer and cook 10 minutes longer.
Ladle into bowls; top with chips. Serve with desired toppings.
