SALAD IN A JAR
By mikeimmell
Utterly brilliant, people!!!!!!! Not only does SALAD IN A JAR save space in your fridge, it also reduces food waste. Not only that, but if your on a diet, you can control your calorie intake simply by being sure you measure the correct amount of dressing you're allowed and putting that on the bottom of the jar first before you store it in the fridge.

DIRECTIONS
1) Arrange ingredients in a large mason jar
2) Store in fridge for up to a week
3) When ready to eat: shake jar, place on a plate, and eat!
You can make any arrangement you want… you can add red onion, cucumbers, radishes or bell peppers. Always remember to put the dressing at the bottom and the lettuce at the top—a MUST. As long as the dressing does not touch the greens this will stay fresh in the fridge for up to a week!!!!!!!
How many times have we all bought fresh greens for salads and then they turned brown and soggy before we were able to use them all up? Well now you can simply use all of the greens with whatever other salad ingredients you want to use and just follow the directions above when you arrange the salad ingredients in the jars. Salads made in these jars can be stored for up to a week. Problem solved no more wasted salad greens. Be sure your jars are clean before you use them and that the lids used are new. When you put the bands on them, be sure they are hand tight only. Not too tight. We just want them tight enough to seal the jars air tight and not break their seals by over tightening them.
