Ingredients
- PECAN TOPPING:
- 1 1/3 cup sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup firm packed brown sugar
- 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Combine flour and baking powder.
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add flour mixture and mix until fine. Stir in pecans. Mix well. Put mixture into a well greased 12x8x2" pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
PECAN TOPPING:
Beat eggs until foamy. Add dark corn syrup, brown sugar, flour, salt, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly and pour over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with 3/4 cups chopped pecans. Arrange 30 pecan halves on top of mixture. Bake at 350, 25 to 30 minutes. Cook and cut.
