Cranberry Salad (Mrs. Evans')

Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 pkg. fresh cranberries
- 1 small orange
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 small red Jell-Os
- 2 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 pkg. Knox gelatin
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Ground up cranberries and orange (with seeds removed). Cover with sugar. Let stand while mixing the rest.
Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Chill until syrupy (about an hour). Fold in cranberry mixture and nuts. Chill til firm.
Topping:
Dissolve gelatin in cold water. Heat to soften. Add cream cheese and sugar. Beat well. Add evaporated milk and vanilla. Spread over Jell-O mixture.
