Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons poppy seed
- 1 1/2 tspn. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tspn. butter flavoring
- 1 1/2 tspn. lemon juice
- GLAZE: (Now you see why its so good)
- 1/2 tspn. butter flavoring
- 1/2 tspn. vanilla
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup orange juice

Step 1
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Set aside. Cream together eggs, milk, oil, and sugar in large bowl. Add poppy seed, lemon juice and butter flavoring. Mix in dry ingredients until batter is smooth. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9 x 5" loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Remove loaves from pans and place on rack to cool. Mix together glaze in a small bowl and pour over loaves. (I do this in the pan as soon as it comes out of the oven.)
