Grilled Hoisin Pork Chops

Ingredients
- For the Marinade:
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp. Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1/4 tsp. minced ginger
- 4 boneless pork loin chops, about 1 in. thick each
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup chicken broth

Step 1
1. Combine marinade ingredients in a medium bowl, mix well. Add pork chops and turn to coat. let stand for 10 minutes or marinate in refrigerator for up to 4 hours, turning occasionally in the marinade.
2. Preheat non-stick skillet or grill plate of electric grill until medium hot. Brush with oil. Place pork chops onto skillet or grill, turning occasionally and basting with marinade, until meat is cooked through and no longer pink in the center, about 5 minutes on each side.
3. Combine remaining marinade and broth in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until sauce has thickened slightly, about 3 minutes. Brush sauce over chops and serve over brown rice.
