Danish: Easy Cheesy Cherry for Christmas

I make this Christmas morning every year. It's a family favorite, and this dish is delightfully delicious.

Ingredients
- 2 boxes of 8 oz pkg of cream cheese/room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- l large egg
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tubes (8oz) refrigerated crescent-roll dough
- Glaze
- 1/2 cup of confectioner's sugar
- 2 tablespoons water

Step 1
Preheat oven 350*
Lightly spray a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan
Mix together cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla with mixer or with a wisk or wooden spoon until very smooth.
Unroll crescent rolls and place in middle of pan. Pat out with fingers, pressing perforations together, until dough completely covers bottom of pan. Warm in oven 4 minutes until slightly dry (to set bottom crust).
Remove oven and cool slightly. Spread cheese mixture over dough evenly to edges. Scatter cherries evenly over cheese. Unroll remaining sheet of crescent-roll dough and separate into 8 triangles and arrange triangles on top of cherries. There will be some space between each one. Brush triangles with egg glaze.
Bake 30 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack before drizzling glaze over danish.
