This is our Thanksgiving must have! If I didn't make this dish for Thanksgiving dinner, I might get shoved down the disposal. It is a no fail, win, win dish that's easy for anyone to make.

Potatoes:  Sweet Pecan for Thanksgiving 0 Picture

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 3 cups sweet potatoes (about 6 big ones, boiled or baked until tender and peeled)
  • l cup sugar
  • 2 lightly beaten eggs
  • 1/3 stick of melted butter
  • 1/2 cup of cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 stick melted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • (You can double this recipe to serve 10 to 14)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 350*

Casserole:

Combine all ingredients and put in buttered baking dish


Topping:

Combine all ingredients, mix well and sprinkle all over the casserole.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and brown.
