Ingredients

  • Meat sauce:
  • 1 ) 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 ) 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 3 ) 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 ) 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 5 ) 2 teaspoons garlic pepper
  • 6 ) 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 7 ) 2 cans chopped tomatoes (16 oz) drained
  • 8 ) 2 jars Prego sauce (48 oz)

Preparation

Step 1

Cook ground beef and italian sausge with onion and garlic pepper until done. Drain grease. Put in stockpot and add the remaining ingrediants and simmer 1 hour. Now boil 1 package Lasagna noodles until tender. Drain and put in cold water until ready to use.

Cheese mixture:

1) 2 pounds cottage cheese (small curd) drained
2) 3 eggs
3) 1 cup parmesan cheese
4) 6 cups mozzerella cheese


Beat eggs with cottage cheese and parmesan cheese. In greased lasagna pan layer noodles, then cover with meat sauce. Cover sauce with cheese mixture. Sprinkle 3 cups of mozzerella cheese. Repeat layers again. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 minutes longer. Don't overbake cheese on top.
