Ingredients

  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. mmargarin or butter
  • 4 c. bread flour
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp active dry yest or bread machine yeast
  • 1/2 c. chopped waltnuts of pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp margarine or butter
  • Sifted powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

2 pound loaf size. Add the first 7 ingredients to machine according to the manufacturer's directions. Select dough cycle. When cycle is completek remove dough. Punch down. cover and let rest for 10 mintues.

Meanwhile, for filling in a medium bowl stir together the walnuts or pecans, brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

Dived dough in half and roll into a 14x9 inch rectangle. Spread with half the margainr or butter and sprinkle with half the filling. Starting from both short sides, roll up each side into a spiral toward the center. Place rolled side up in a greased 9x5x2 loaf pan or 8x4x2 loaf pan. Cover, let rise about 30 minutes or until nearly double.

Bake in a 350 degree oven about 30 minutes or until bread sounds hollow when lightly tapped. If necessary loosely cover with foil the last 10 minutes to prevent overbrowning. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack. Before servng sprinkle with powdered sugar.
