  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Step 1

In a medium-size pot over high heat, add oil and one kernel of popcorn. Cover and cook until kernel pops. Add sugar and stir for 15 seconds or until it melts. Add the rest of the popcorn to the sugar oil and re-cover. Shake pot constantly until popping stops. Empty popcorn into a bowl and toss with salt. Serve immediately.
