Apple Raisin Dressing

This is the only homemade dressing recipe that I have made that my family enjoys on the holidays.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 2 cups apple, diced
- 4 - 6 1 1/2 oz. boxes of raisins
- 1 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic, minced
- 4 cubes Wyler's Chicken Bouillon cubes
- 1 1/2 cups white wine
- 2 eggs
- 14 oz. pkg Pepperidge Farm Seasoned Stuffing
- 1/4 cup brown sugar

In a large Dutch oven pot, saute the margarine, onions, and celery. Once the vegetables are soft, add the apples, raisins, allspice, cinnamon, salt, pepper, garlic, chicken bouillon cubes, and 1 cup of white wine. Cook the mixture until the chicken cubes dissolve and the apples and raisins are soft. Mix in the stuffing mix. Spray the bottom of a 9" x 13" glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and place the mixture into a casserole dish. In a separate bowl, beat 1/2 cup white wine, eggs, and brown sugar. Pour the egg mixture over the stuffing in the casserole dish. Bake the stuffing, UNcovered, at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes. Cover the stuffing and continue baking an additional 15 minutes. Serve the stuffing while it is hot.
