Ingredients
- 1 cup Gold Tequila
- 1 cup Cointreau
- 1 cup fresh lime juice, plus 1 or 2 lime wedges or additional juice in a shallow bowl
- 1/4 cup superfine sugar
- Kosher salt for dipping glass rims
- 6 cups ice cubes
- Note: Very strong, could reduce liquor by 1/4 to 1/3.

Preparation
Step 1
In a blender, combine the tequila, Cointreau, 1 cup lime juice, and sugar.
Cover and process on high speed until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is thoroughly combined, about 10 seconds.
Spread a layer of salt on a small, flat plate. Rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge, or dip the rim in lime juice. Then dip the rim into the salt to coat lightly. Repeat with the remaining glasses. Fill each glass three-fourths full with the ice. Pour in the blended mixture, filling almost to the rim. Serve at once.
