Ingredients
- 1 orange
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup flour, sifted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 1/2 cup marmalade
- Confectioners sugar, for dusting

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease an 8 inch springform pan and line with wax paper.
Put orange in a pan, cover with water and simmer for 1 hour (or nuke in a microwave for about 25 minutes) until soft. Cut the orange in half, remove the seeds and puree in a food processor.
Beat eggs and sugar until pale and thick. Fold in the flour, baking powder, almonds and orange puree. Pour into the pan and bake for 1 hour.
Melt the marmalade in a small pan, then pour through a fine sieve, pressing to get all the juice out. Spread the rind-free juice over the cake.
When cool, sift the confectioners sugar over the cake. May serve with whipped cream, if desired.
