Ingredients

  • Glaze:
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 box Duncan Hines butter-flavored cake mix
  • 1 small box instant French vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 c. canola oil
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. confectioners' sugar
  • 2-4 tsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla or combination of vanilla and lemon

Preparation

Step 1

Heat together cinnamon, butter, sugar and nuts. Set aside.

Mix cake mix, pudding, eggs, oil, water and vanilla. Beat 4 minutes only.

Grease or spray tube or Bundt pan. Put 1/3 of nut/cinnamon mixture in bottom. Add 1/2 of batter. The 1/3 of nut/cinnamon mixture, 1/2 of batter. Top with rest of cinnamon mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour. If your oven is hot, use 325 degrees. Check after 40 minutes to be sure cake isn't over-browning.

Drizzle with glaze when done.

Glaze:
Mix all ingredients together.
