Ingredients

1 dozen egg yolk
1/2 gallon half and half
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract or a bit more
1 teaspoon nutmeg

Step 1

Beat egg YOLKS REAL GOOD. add sugar, beat more. add milk. stir. Put in double boiler. Boil till it coats a spoon. Remove from heat. lt cool. Add vanilla & nutmeg. When adding to glass container, be sure to have metal spoon in it so it doesn't crack.
