  • 3 ) 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Cook over low heat until clear, stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat and let cool. Set aside.

2. Meringue:

1) 3 egg whites
2) 3/8 teaspoon cream of tarter
3) 3/4 cup sugar
4) 2 teaspoons vanilla

In large glass or metal bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tarter and a pinch of salt until mixture is foamy. Mix in vanilla and gradually add sugar, beating constantly until meringue forms soft peaks. Gradually add stabilizer. Beat mixture until stiff and sugar is completely dissolved. Spread over pie filling and seal to crust edge. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes.
