Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 2 C Crushed Pretzels (substitute Graham Crackers)
  • 3 to 4 TBSP Sugar
  • 3/4 C Butter melted
  • FIRST FILLING:
  • 8 OZ. Cream Cheese
  • 1 8 OZ. Carton Cool Whip
  • 1 C Powdered Sugar
  • SECOND FILLING:
  • 4 C chopped Strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 6 oz. pkg. Strawberry Jello
  • 2 C Pineapple Juice
  • 1 small can Crushed Pineapple

Preparation

Step 1

CRUST:
Mix and press into 9 X 13" pan. Bake 400 degrees for 7 minutes. Cool completely.
FIRST FILLING:
Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar. Fold Cool Whip into cream cheese and powdered sugar. Put over cooled crust. Refrigerate over night is best.
SECOND FILLING:
If using fresh strawberries spread an even layer on top of cream cheese. Heat juice and Jello: stirring constantly; until Jello is dissolved; add drained pineapple. Pour over strawberries very gently. If Jello is too hot it will melt cream cheese. If using frozen strawberries, put into Jello mixture and stir until mixture startes to thicken. Refrigerate until Jello sets and is ready to serve.
