Ingredients

  • 8 oz. fresh spinach
  • 10 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 1/2 c. crumbled gorgonzola
  • 1/4 - 1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 3/4 c. salad oil
  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • 1/3 c. white wine vinegar
  • 1 T. mayonnaise
  • 1 t. dried basil, chopped
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • pinch of sugar
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Remove stems from spinach; tear leaves into bite size pieces. Place in salad bow. Add bacon, Gorgonzola, and walnuts.

In a small bowl, whisk together cooking oil, olive oil, vinegar, mayonnaise, basil, garlic, sugar, salt, and pepper, Pour over spinach mixture and toss.
