  • 1 1/3 cup Spelt Flour, Whole Grain
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Cloves
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 2/3 cup Honey
  • 2 cups Apple (two different varieties), peeled, chopped and lightly packed
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt

Preparation

Step 1


Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a loaf pan.

Mix the spelt flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and sea salt in a mixing bowl and set aside.

In a large, microwave safe mixing bowl, microwave honey until it looks runny enough to mix.

Whisk the olive oil, applesauce, vanilla extract and milk into the honey.

Whisk in the eggs, one at a time.

Whisk in half of the dry ingredients. Then whisk in the second half.

With a mixing spoon, gently mix or fold in the chopped apples.

Pour into the greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350F for an hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the Apple Bread comes out clean. Let cool for an hour before cutting.
