Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Step 1

Grease large (12 cup) Bundt cake pan. Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in sour cream and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Combine flour, baking soda and baking powder. Gradually mix until just smooth.

Bake in preheated 350 oven. If using a coated pan reduce to 325 oven after 20 minutes of 350. Test after 50-55 minutes with cake tester. Cake should spring back when done. Cool on rack in pan for 1/2 hour. Remove cake and let cool on rack. Freezes well.
