  • 1 lb. fettuccine
  • 1/2 ½ cup butter
  • 2/3 cup whipping cream, at room temperature
  • 3/4 ¾ cup grated cheese
  • Nutmeg and freshly ground white pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In a large pot of boiling water, cook pasta until tender but firm. While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Drain pasta and add to melted butter. Toss gently with forks. Over low heat, add the cream and heat through. Sprinkle with cheese and toss noodles evenly to coat. Sprinkle with nutmeg and white pepper. Taste and adjust seasonings. Serve immediately.
