Ingredients

  • 250 grams flour
  • 50 grams sugar
  • Grated peel of 1/2 a lemon
  • 150 grams butter
  • 1 tbs. rum
  • 1 - 2 tbs. milk
  • 750 grams apples
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 50 grams raisins
  • 4 tbs. rum
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • Juice of 1 small lemon
  • 100 grams nuts

Preparation

Step 1

To make the pastry combine the flour, sugr, and peel. Cut the butter into small pieces and rub into the flour until you have a crumb texture.

Add the rum and work briefly until a soft dough forms, adding extra milk as needed. Wrap and let rest 1/2 hour.

Mix all the remaining ingredients togehter. Divide pastry into 2 balls, making 1 slightly larger than the other. Roll the larger ball on a lightly floured surface and place in a 10 - 12 inch tart pan. Spread filling over top and cover with remaining rolled pastry. Prick and bake at 350 degree for 45 minutes.
