Ingredients

  • 1 (4 oz.) pkg. instant
  • chocolate pudding
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 stick unsalted butter,
  • softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or
  • milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup pecans, optional

Preparation

Step 1

In a small bowl, stir together pudding mix, flour, salt, and soda. Set aside. With an electric mixer, blend butter until whipped. Add brown sugar; blend until creamy. Add egg and vanilla and continue to blend. Slowly add dry ingredients and blend until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
Chill dough. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place by rounded spoonful on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute. Remove to wire rack.
