Ingredients
- Note: these amounts yield one quart of sauce. Recipe can be easily doubled.
- 8 tart apples
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon

Step 1
Wash, pare, core, and slice apples. Place in saucepan and add water. Cover and simmer until apples fall apart when stirred.
Stir in remaining ingredients and cook 1 minute more.
