Ingredients

    8-oz pkg cream cheese

  • 1

    cup crushed pineapple, drained

  • 1

    cup chopped pecans (optional)

  • 1

    lb loaf French bread

  • 4

    eggs

  • 1

    cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1

    tsp vanilla

  • 1

    12-oz. jar apricot jam

  • ½

    cup orange juice

Directions

Beat cream cheese and pineapple together. Add pecans and set aside. Cut bread into 1 1/2" slices. Cut a pocket in the top of each and add cheese mixture. Beat eggs well. Add cream, vanilla, and nutmeg. Dip bread into egg mixture and cook on lightly greased griddle. Mix jam and orange juice together; heat and drizzle over top.
