Wow your family with their favorite soup served in a bowl that ooks (and is) good enough to eat. The bread machne does almost all the work-but you don't have to tell anyone.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. margarine or butter, cut up
  • 4 c. bread flour
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp active dry yeast or bread machine yeast
  • 3/4 c. shredded cheese, such as cheddar, swiss, or
  • monterey jack

Step 1

2 pound size loaf. Add the first 7 ingredients to the machine according ot he manufacturer's directions. Select the ough cyle. When cycle is completel remove dough from machine. Punch down. Cover andlet rest for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, generously grease the outside of six 10 oz custard cups or individual casseroles. Place upside down, on a grased large baking sheet, leaving 3-4 inch between cups.

Divide dough into 6 portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portions into a 12x6 inch rectangle. Sprinkle about 2 tbsp cheese onto half of each rectangle to within 1/2 inch of the edges. Moisten edges; fold each rectangle in half to form a 6 inch square. Seal edges.

Drape the dough squares over the greased cups, pressing lightly. Do not let rise. Bake in a 350 oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. If necessary, loosely cover with foil last 10 minutes to prevent overbrowning. Remove the bread bowls from cups, cool on wire racks.
