Ingredients

  • 6 medium chicken breasts
  • Salt, pepper, paprika to taste
  • 1/2 c. vermouth or dry white wine (optional)
  • 1 can mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • Cooked rice or noodles

Step 1

Lightly sprinkle chicken breasts with salt, pepper and paprika. Separately mix sour cream and flour. Then stir in the sour cream mixture only if you are going to cook on the LOW crock pot setting. (If you will cook the mixture on HIGH, withhold the sour cream and add it to the pot 30 minutes before the cooking will be finished.) Pour the mixture over the chicken. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover the pot. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours, or on high 3 to 4 hours. Serve the chicken and its sauce on cooked rice or noodles.
