Ingredients

  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 1/2 c light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 lg egg at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate, cut into 1/4" chunks
  • 6 oz white chocoalte, cut into 1/4" chunks
  • 1/3 c pecans, coarsely chopped

Directions
1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
3In small bowl, sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
4In large bowl, using electric mixer at low speed, beat butter 30 seconds or until creamy.
5Add both sugars gradually; beat at medium speed 2 minutes until fluffy.
6Beat in egg and vanilla. Using spoon, add to flour mixture.
7Add chocolate chunks and pecans; stir until combined.
8Drop by tablespoonsful onto cookie sheets.
9Leave 1" between cookies.
10Bake 10-15 minutes until cookies are puffed and lightly browned at edges.
11Cool cookies on sheets 5 minutes before serving
