- Texas sheet cake frosting:
- 1 cup water
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 sticks butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1
In a large pot on top of the stove, melt and bring to a boil; 1 cup water, 2 sticks butter or margarine, and 4 tablespoons cocoa. Remove from stove. Add the following ingredients and mix well; 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 cups sugar and 2 cups of flour. Then add these ingredients and mix well; 1/2 cup sour cream, 3 eggs and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Pour into a large greased cookie sheet. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost while warm. Texas sheet cake frosting: Bring to a boil; 1 sticks butter, 4 tablespoons cocoa and 6 tablespoons milk. Remove from stove and add 1 lb. powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Frost cake while hot. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
