Ingredients

  • 2 TB sugar

  • 3 cups flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup shortening

  • 1 pkg dry yeast

  • ¾ cup warm water

Directions

put yeast in warm water with 1 tsp sugar, let stand til bubbles, add to flour and other ingredients. Mix and knead til dough is smooth. Let rise for 30 - 45 minutes. Beat down again. Let rise again. Roll out - spread melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon, roll up and cut with a piece of thread. Put in buttered and brown sugared 9X13 pan, let rise Bake at 350* for 25-30 minutes
