  • Mix together and set aside:
  • 3/4 c. catsup
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/16 tsp. ground cloves
  • Mix together thoroughly. Mold into rounded flat loaf in 9” pie plate:
  • 2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 3 slices day old bread, cubed
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion

Step 1

Spread half the reserved sauce over load and arrange 6 lemon slices on top. Bake 60 – 75 minutes at 350º F.
When time is up, remove loaf from oven and let stand 5 minutes. Spread remaining sauce over loaf before serving.
