Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 3 egg whites (slightly beaten)
- 1 cup finely chopped nuts
- Preserves

Step 1
Blend butter and sugar until creamy. Blend in egg yolks and vanilla. Add flour, 1-1/2 cups at a time. Roll into 48 balls.
Dip each ball into egg whites and then into the nuts. Press with your thumb.
Bake in a 350-degree oven for 15 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet or one lined with parchment paper.
