  • 1/3 granulated sugar
  • 1 2/3 all purpose flour
  • 1 ts baking powder
  • 1/8 ts salt
  • 4 ts cooking oil
  • 1/3 milk
  • 2 med eggs, well eaten
  • 1 ts anise extract
  • THIN FROSTING
  • 1 confectionery sugar
  • 1 ts anise
  • warm water
  • mix together by adding small amounts of water

Step 1

put all dry ingredients in a large mixer bowl make a well in center of bowl and add other ingredients. blend well for a medium firm dough. if the dough is too sticky, add a little flour. form one inch ball and place on lightly greased baking sheet.

400 degrees - 10 - 12 minutes no longer

ball will be light on top dark on bottom.

dip in frosting while hot
