- 5 G SALT
- 30 G SUGAR
- 25 G YEAST
- 125 G BUTTER
- 1/2 ½ CUP MILK
- SYRUP
- 2 CUPS WATER
- 500 G SUGAR
- GLASS OF RUM
- 2 TBS APRICOT JAM

Step 1
USE DOUGH HOOK. PUT YEAST, WARM MILK AND 2 TEAS SUGAR IN SMALL BOWL. LET FOAM. ADD FLOUT TO MIX. ADD SALT TO EGGS AND ADD TO MIXER. ADD YEAT MIXTURE. WHEN IT IS MIXED COMPLETELY. MIX VERY SOFT BUTTER WITH AND REMAINING SUGAR. ADD TO DOUGH. TURN SPEED UP AND MIXER COMPLETELY. TRANSFER MIXTURE TO A BUTTERED BOWL AND COVER WITH PLASTIC WRAP. LET RISE UNTIL DOUBLED IN SIZE. MIX AND DOUGH WILL COMPLETEY DEFLATE. FILL 12 BABA MOLDS WHICH HAVE BEEN BUTTERED AND FLOURED. MOLDS ARE 2 1/3 HIGH AND 1.5 INCH DIAMETER AT BASE. FILL MOLDS HALFWAY. LET REST 20 MINUTES AND BAKE AT 400 FOR 10 MINUTES. LOWER TO 350 AND BAKE ANOTHER 10 MINUTES. BOIL SUGAR AND WATER. ADD RUM OR LIMONCELLO. ADD BABA TO WARMED SYRUP IN A POT. LET SOAK. WHEN WELL SOAKED , REMOVE AND BRUSH WITH APRICOT JAM. CUT IN HALF AND FILL WITH WHIPPED CREAM AND FRESH FRUIT OR CHERRY IF DESIRED.
