    quart heavy cream

Directions

Makes approx. 1 lb of butter ( 2 cups ) Put Heavy Whipping Cream in Food Processor, up to liquid fill line. Turn on & let run. Approx 3 - 5 minutes .Cream will go through different stages. First whipped Cream, Then Thick whipped cream, Then when you see Buttermilk starting to seperate from mixture & flying around in bowl, wait about 30 more seconds. It should be done. It will look like Buttery cottage cheese with buttermilk seperated. Strain the butter from th buttermilk. Put the butter in a seperate bowl & work through it to gte the rest of the buttermilk out. Pour a little ice water over the butter to rinse the rest of the nuttermilk & water out. Make sure you get all water & buttermilk out. Add salt if desired. Pinch at a time. Store in a air tight container.
