Ingredients
- 1 loaf french bread
- Mayonnaise
- Dijon mustard
- 1/2 lb. thinly sliced ham, your favorite brand
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- Sliced kosher dill pickles

Step 1
1. Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Spread one half with mayonnaise and the other with mustard. Layer the ham and swiss cheese on one half of the bread. Layer pickle slices over the cheese. Top with the other bread half.
2. In a large skillet or on a flat-bottomed griddle over medium-high heat, heat enough butter to coat the cooking surface. ( You may need to cut the loaf in half so it fits in the pan) Place the sandwich in the pan and press down with another heavy pan or a brick wrapped in foil and grill until the cheese is melted. Cut the loaf to make 4 sandwiches.
