Ingredients

  • 6 whole chicken livers cut in half
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • 3 finely chopped shallots
  • chopped parsley
  • 3 T. butter (sweet is preferred)
  • 2 slices sourdough bread toasted

Preparation

Step 1

Mix shallots, garlic and parsley together and set aside.
Melt butter in a saute pan until sizzling. Add livers, turning frequently. Cook for no more than 8 minutes...they should still be pink inside. Put chicken livers on toast and sprinkle with the shallot, garlic and parsely mixture. Pour a little of the hot butter over top.*
