Ingredients

  • 2 cups walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cooked kasha (buckwheat groats)
  • 3/4 cup wheat germ
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Step 1

In bowl combine walnuts, onion, kasha, wheat germ, salt, eggs, milk and Worcestershire sauce. Turn into greased 9-by-5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 F until firm, about 50 minutes. Serve with hot tomato sauce or catsup, if desired.
