Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 onion
- oil
- salt to taste
- catsup to taste
- 2 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 lb long macaroni
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 gallon whole milk
- 3/4 c cornstarch
- salt to taste
- 5 egg yolks, beaten
- Parmesan cheese
- Paprika for color

Preparation
Step 1
Brown 1 onion in oil.
Add ground beef and while browning, add salt to taste and catsup for color.
Simmer in pot with 1 cinnamon stick for about 15 minutes.
Boil Long macaroni. Blanch and strain.
Put together:
Butter pan then sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese.
Put macaroni in pain to completely cover the bottom.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Cover with all the meat and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Cover with macaroni, but not as much as you put on the bottom.
Then put topping:
Melt 1 stick butter and add cornstarch (it will be like a paste).
Add milk and salt to taste.
Stir constantly with a wire whisk.
Just before the milk boils, add the beaten egg yolks.
Bring to a boil stirring constantly with wire whisk. The topping will thicken to the thickness of buttermilk.
Cover topping with Parmesan cheese and paprick. Dot top with butter.
Bake at 375 until brown.
