Ingredients

  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1 pound butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 6 egg yolks
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Solo brand fruit fillings (apricot, prune, cherry, strawberry)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, sugar, and yeast. Add butter, using pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Add sour cream, egg yolks, and lemon juice. Mix with hands. Form into ball and refrigerate overnight.

Cut out a section of dough. Roll on floured board until 1/8 inch thick. Cut dough into 2 x 2 inch squares. Place 1/4 tsp of fruit filling in center of dough. Fold opposite corners to middle and pinch together.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
