Spicy Chicken Tortilla Soup

Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 2 T vegetable oil
- 4-oz can chopped green chilies
- 15-oz can Italian-style stewed tomatoes, chopped, with juice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce
- 4 T flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 cups frozen corn
- 1 lb diced cooked chicken
- sour cream for garnish
- salt and pepper to taste
- Tortilla chips/strips
- Chopped fresh coriander for garnish, if desired

Preparation
Step 1
In saucepan, cook the onion and garlic in oil until softened. Add chilies, tomatoes and juice, broth, and seasonings. Simmer for 20 minutes.
In small bowl, combine flour and water and whisk it into the soup. Simmer 5 minutes. Add chicken, beans, and corn, and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, until heated through. Salt and pepper to taste, garnish as desired. Serve with tortilla chips.
