Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 6 tbs. butter
- 2 tbs. and ¼ cup sugar
- 1 pkg. dry yeast dissolved in ¼ cup warm water
- 3 – 3 ½ cups flour
- 1/2 ½ cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 ½ cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 1 ½ cups icing sugar
- 1 tbs. lemon juice
- 1 tbs. lemon zest

Step 1
Combine the milk, 3 tbs. butter, 2 tbs. sugar and salt. Over medium heat melt the butter. Cool the butter but while still warm add the yeast. Add 1 cup flour to the mix, beat with a wooden spoon until smooth. Slowly add the remaining flour and knead in until soft dough is formed. Let rise in a greased bowl, until doubled. Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon. Add the remaining butter, cutting the mixture until crumbly. Stir in the nuts, and set aside. Roll the dough into 12 x 16 inch rectangle. Scatter the nut mixture over the dough, up to 1 inch to the edge. Roll at the long side. Cut the dough into 16 inch pieces. Cover and rise. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes.
Combine sugar, juice, and zest; blend until smooth and drizzle over the warm buns.
