ON TOP OF THE STOVE COOKIES

Another recipe from our Love cousins (Jim Love family) that was a 4-H recipe.

Ingredients

• 1 c. sugar
• 2 Tbs. cocoa
• 1/4 c. milk
• 4 Tbs. oleo
• 2 heaping Tbs. peanut butter
• 1 c. quick oats
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together the sugar, cocoa, milk and oleo in a pan. Bring to a boil and let boil for 2 minutes. Then add the peanut butter, then the oats and finally the vanilla. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper to cool.
NOTE: If you double the recipe, you’ll need to double cooking time.
